"To gain new market segments offering a generic organic product is not enough. You do have to guarantee, with transparency and reliability, its origin." This is the concept inspiring the Bolzano trade meeting, that since 2004 displays the regional excellence of certified organic products and promotes ecologcal and sustainable lifestyles.
The latest report by the Bio-Siegel German Office for Agriculture and Food confirms the need to ensure transparency with organic products' origin.
Bolzano's Organic Products Fair Biolife stresses the difference between the industrial organics, typical of international markets, and the small quality production, typical of the Italian territory and its organic producers, who believe in the values of environmental, economic and social sustainability. Biolife is held in Trentino Alto Adige, a region where environmental protection plays a major role and where the territory so far has been saved from the GMOs' invasion.
Biolife's organizers aim to disseminate the culture and philosophy of organic farming and healthy living. The event, which in 2009 hosted about 150 exhibitors and nearly 40,000 visitors, displays a wide agricultural sector and an increasingly important section for cosmetics and textiles. It is addressed not only to the final consumer but also to professionals in the high standard food and catering sector, small importers and high-level tourist services.
With a very interesting program, the 2010 edition of Biolife is a good opportunity for direct sale or to get in touch with new business partners.
